Summary/Abstract: Lecture given at the inauguration of the VII International Bruno Schulz Festival in Drohobych in 2016. Yurij Vynnychuk described his private reception of Schulzian prose which, he explained, “he absorbs in small doses, just like ice-cream in his childhood, rolls the metaphors on his tongue, tastes their flavour on the roof of his mouth, and tries to keep it as long as possible”.
