Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the scientific approaches to understanding the legal nature of the franchise agreement, focuses on clarifying its subject, form and content with reference to the experience of legal regulation of franchising relations in Ukraine and abroad (using individual countries of common and civil law as an example). Comparative analysis of the franchise agreement with related agreements are carried out, namely such as: a concession agreement, a license agreement, a joint activity agreement, an agency and investment agreement, and the characteristic features of the agreement are identified.
