We conducted a qualitative analysis of stressful life events. The most frequent events in a group with anxiety disorder are from the category of material and human losses. The most frequent events in the order are: a reduction in living standards, serious injury, illness, injury, surgical operations, financial problems, major disagreements between the partners, death of a close family member, disasters, conflicts with family members, illness of a family member, problems in sexual life. The research has shown that life events may be related to the occurrence of anxiety disorders in the BiH population, i.e., there is a connection between stressful events and anxiety disorders in the part of the BiH population.
