Summary/Abstract: The paper gives rise to further research on the legacy of the Polish composer from Podolia, Władysław Zaremba, whose creativity has not been studied in detail in musicological terms so far. The main aim of the paper is to raise the subject and to present his collection of tunes for piano Little Paderewski. This work was published in Leon Idzikowski publishing house in Kiev in 1911. It is a patchwork of easy tunes for didactic purposes, based on Polish national, folk and church songs as well as on passages from operas and Polish composers’ songs (i.a. by Moniuszko, Ogiński, Noskowski, Wieniawski, Żeleński and Paderewski). The collection in question constitutes a kind of summary of the pedagogical activity which the composer performed for many years. On account of its undeniable artistic and didactic values, it deserves a greater attention in the contemporary instrumental didactics.
