Summary/Abstract: Self-Help Group, Microcredit and Microenterprise as a triadic model proved to be worthwhile to promote women empowerment and community development in India. This paper attempts to study the success and failure of this model in India and also to explore the possibilities of applying this to the Roma communities in Hungary to improve their socio-economic condition.
