Summary/Abstract: It is expected that political power emerged in fair and equal conditions in contemporary democracies with tolerance in the context of pluralism and pluralism to the ideas of opposition and different approaches. Political partisanship is to emerge as a result that the government cannot show the expected tolerance. The aim of this study is to see the examples of gerrymandering in Turkey and gerrymandering that is a type of political partisanship and electoral pathology. In this essay that gerrymandering and political partisanship were associated with each other, political partisanship’s concept was explained and then was discussed the history and kind of gerrymandering. Finally, gerrymandering and applications in Turkey were discussed in the light of regional election statistical data. Some of applications in Turkey of gerrymandering that is a kind of political partisanship as a result of evaluations has been seen to reach intended result but some of them has not. In this study, two ways are presented for inactivation of gerrymandering. First one is the specialization of political actors. The other one is to make arrangements about gerrymandering on the constitution. Therefore, communication and reconciliation between the party in power and different views will be better.
