Summary/Abstract: The human rights and the right to communication and information are the modern constructions. Although they did not exist in this form, their origins may be found in the classical societies. The freedom of speech and expression, as well as of the artistic and scientific creation, has its roots in the Ancient Greece and Rome. The genesis of the right to communication, as one o f the human rights, lies in the freedom. The antique idea of the right to communication is not identical to the actual one.
