Summary/Abstract: In this study, the rules of AS 9100 were examined and a descriptive study was carried out in comparison with the ISO 9001 standard. Differences between AS 9100 and ISO 9001 are shown in the table. The AS 9100 quality system, which is the quality standard of the companies operating in the aviation sector, has been developed and adapted to the aviation industry by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG). The internationally recognized AS 9100 quality system is a quality standard for products manufactured in the aviation sector (air car parts, etc.) to ensure businesses safe, reliable, and sustainable; maintain efficient and effective management and competitive advantage. Although it is not a legal obligation for companies to have the AS 9100 quality certificate, this quality system has become necessary due to the contribution of providing prestige, market power and quality products in the sector. AS 9100 quality system is a process management consisting of management organization, resource management, training of human resources, risk management, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. In this study, many cases defined as quality in ISO 9100 are evaluated as safety in AS 9100 and other differences are presented. No previous studies have been conducted on this subject and this study carries a reference quality for subsequent studies.
