Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to present the reflections on the awareness of teachers about the specialeducational needs of students covered by teaching in a publicly accessible school. The entire studywas divided into two parts. The first discusses the teacher’s professionalism in the context of goodpractices of social inclusion of students with disabilities in the changing social space of the schoolopen to all students. The second part presents research searches, which were limited to definingthe readiness of teachers and candidates for the teaching profession supporting the therapeutic andeducational work with children with intellectual disabilities.
