Summary/Abstract: The teacher of early school education is a unique teacher, he becomes a kind of prototype, on whichwe build our imagination about all the teachers we meet on our way to school. That is why it isimportant that it is a pattern full of good qualities: friendly, smiling, wise, optimistic.The presented text focuses on an attempt to diagnose the level of optimism of early childhoodeducation teachers, on a small group of respondents (30 teachers) using two SWLS and LOT-Rtools. The first one determines the level of overall satisfaction with life and the second one reduces the level of dispositional optimism, understood as a tendency to positive perception of theworld and its own future. The results obtained confirm other researches addressing this issue, itturns out that about half of the teachers have a high level of dispositional optimism. Optimism isa relatively permanent feature of personality, it is an important motivator for action that increasesresistance to stress and facilitates quick decision-making in a difficult situation for an individual.Such a teacher, good and fast coping in stressful situations, which at work with a small child isa lot, they will get satisfaction from their professional role and at the same time meet the expectations set by society.
