Summary/Abstract: Family group conferences as one of the effective options and ways to solve the unfavorable life situation of a vulnerable child and his family leaves the power, responsibility and resources to family members and the circle of people around the child to create plan and make decisions for the future. The paper describes this process, the participants and the course of the meetings, as well as the part of the evaluation of implementation of the FGC in Slovakia in 10 years.
