NEW OR OLD RELIGIOUS CONSCIOUSNESS - TYPOLOGY OF STUDENT RELIGIOSITY

Summary/Abstract: Exploring student religious consciousness is interesting for several reasons. Former sociological studies showed that different social strata vary in religiosity depending on their position in the mainstream or on margins of society, sex, social background, status, education, occupation. Student population, because of their professional training, is potentially the most secular group and at the same time very heterogeneous. Which type and intensity of religiosity characterizes this segment of population is subject of this article.
