THE CONCEPT OF SOCIAL EQUALITY AND SOCIAL POLICY

Summary/Abstract: In the first part o f the article the author reviews the relation between theoretical concept of social equality and social policy. Social policy as social activity is not merely linked with, but it actualy emerged from modem comprehensions about posibilities of social equality among people. According to T. Bottomore, social problems could be mitigated by organized social activity, and sociology, as empirical science, should support — by recognizing the facts — the improvement of the society and the removement of undesirable phenomena of extreme poverty and unequality.
