SOCIAL ALLOWANCE BETWEEN WANT AND INFLATION

Summary/Abstract: In this work one analyses social allowance as one of the features of the state’s relationship towards the poor of an official status. The analysis is concerned with the state of affairs in the Belgrade Savski Venae commune. The author starts from an assumption according to which the amount of social allowance as an assumed minimum for the non-active population’s existence does not depend on the total social wealth and degree of socio-economic development; rather it far more depends on ideological stands directly linked with ruling values, moral consciousness and awareness about the poor’s difficult status in the society.
