Approaches on dispute resolution services through alternative methods within the WIPO Center in specific areas

Summary/Abstract: In the article the characteristics of litigation în special area of the intellectual property are briefly analyzed in order to determine the reasons for which solving litigation through alternative dispute resolution means would better serve the interest of the parties. Also, few of the alternative dispute resolution procedures available at the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization are briefly presented in this article. Advantageous to be considered by the parties when choosing between litigation in front of the courts of law and these specific fields of intellectual property law are also briefly considered.
