Summary/Abstract: In the system of violent crime (crime of violence), the crime of abduction, in its nature, character, the capacity of the perpetrator and the victim, the way, the means, the circumstances and the goal of execution in all modern criminal lows is contemplated as a criminal of abduction. In the criminal law of Serbia, this is an old criminal act, known from the first written legal monuments in the period of the medieval Serbian state. Since then, abduction has been seen as a criminal offense for which severe penalties are imposed. Today, this crime is envisaged in Serbia as a criminal offense against human rights and freedoms. But it is undertaken in a specific way - by using force, threat or deception, which places it in violent crime acts. But the aim of this criminal offense is that the perpetrator in this way achieves unlawful material gain or to sacrifice the victim to another act. Lately, abduction has gained a new dimension as it also appears as a form of organized crime (when a group or an organized criminal group is executin the action). Precisely in this paper the author examines the concept, elements, characteristics and forms of manifesting the criminal offense of abduction as a form of organized crime in Serbia in a theoretical and practical aspect.
