Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is the critical analysis of the Trinitarian Theology of Vladimír Boublík (1928–1974), an excellent Czech theologian and philosopher, professor of fundamental theology at the Lateran University in Rome, one of the founders of the theology of religions. In the introduction, the author explains the reasons of this study and presents the basic hermeneutical points of view of his analysis. Then he introduces the life and work of Vladimír Boublík and fi nds the text which deals with his Trinitarian Theology: De Deo trino (Rome: Pontifi cia Università Lateranense, 1967). The work of Boublík has many positive characterizations: the great openness to the thinking of oriental theologians, thesis about the operation of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as Persons in the history of Salvation, the new methodological approaches. At the same time it is obvious that his thinking suffers from some defi ciencies which were typical for Dogmatic Theology of his era: the non-usage of Paschal Mystery and social analogy in his Trinitarian reflection, the marginalization of the connections between Trinitarian Theology and spirituality. In the conclusion, the author presents the most important Czech theologians from the period 1950–1989 and their works.
