Summary/Abstract: The ecological problem has developed into a problem of all human civilisation. The author believes that this is a consequence of the development during the last four hundred years, which has taken place within the subject paradigm, rationalism, science, technology and economism with all their positive and especially negative phenomena that endanger civilisation and the environment. As a further development, Christian thought can offer the Trinitarian paradigm shaping a new conscience and new ethics that will be based on personal relations, gratitude, respect for differences, integrity and responsibility.
