On Interpreting Laws

Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author underlines some of the specific aspects of law interpretation. To this purpose, he chooses two perspectives. Firstly, he tries to differentiate the law interpretation in view of the interpreter's position. The actors of juridical life (legislator, judge, scientist) interpret the juridical norm taking into account that the juridical force of their interpretations differs. This creates different responsibilities but also different inhibitions. Secondly, the author took into account the methods of interpreting the juridical norm. These two perspectives are necessary in trying to answer a philosophical problem that arises with regard to the interpretation of a juridical norm: is this an act of will or an act of knowledge?
