THE FUTURE OF YUGOSLAV ECONOMY AND SOCIETY - CRISIS MANAGEMENT OR DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

Summary/Abstract: In this text I discuss an research approach of social and economic development and the contradictions in desirability of economic growth as well as the possibility of managing the process of development by controling it using adequately chosen categories and methods. In that context I examine current and crucial crisis in the Yugoslav society as the crisis of nondevelopment (not as the development crisis) and I claim that it source is in the formerphilosophy of the Yugoslav development which has spent its positive, and emancipative potential of development and now acts as the negative factor of development.
