JUXTAPOSITION OF DRUG CRIME IN LOCAL COMMUNITY

Summary/Abstract: Drug abuse, whether or no appeared in conservative or liberal societies or any other form it might bespeaked, has always been a serious security problem for mankind. Drug crime represents very complex and dangerous form of crime that involves drugs. That complexity and its harmfulness can be seen in its tight connection with other forms of criminal behavior, for example: human trafficking, money laundering and terrorism. Consequences of drug crime are not only harmful but present in all levels of citizen organizations, especially in local community where citizens in the most direct way realize their rights and interests. Consequences of drug crime in local community are the most direct and very visible so they can be seen as a security, medical and socio-pathological problems. This paper is trying to point out the significance of juxtaposition of drug crime in local community by subjects of security acting in the field. Also for more efficient overview and juxtaposition of drug crime in local community it is necessary to point out its phenomenological and etymologic characteristics and diapason of its manifestations.
