Summary/Abstract: The existing views of the causes of the social crisis are classified into three groups: (1) the causes of the crisis may be reduced to the crisis of the political elite; (2) the causes of the crisis are based on the fact that conditions for a socialism in the Marxian sense had been absent; (3) the crisis is due to the fact that socialism as a system is unnatural.
