DOCTORATES IN THE EDUCATION AND REPRODUCTION OF SCIENTIFIC PERSONNEL (II)

Summary/Abstract: In the last section of the first part of the paper are analysed, first the data on the international impact, or visibility, of the works of doctors from 1955—59, by means of citations registered in the cumulative five-years edition of SCI, 1965—69, i.e. 10—15 years later. The distribution according to universities where the doctorates were conferred is presented in Tab. 8. According to both positive and negative indicators the best distribution had the doctors of LJU, and the distribution of doctors in natural science at ZS was very similar. The doctors from BU held the intermediary position between these two universities and SU, SKU and SANU. The general distributions of BU, ZS and LJU are further elaborated according to groups of sciences in Tab. 9. Similarly as by the members of commissions, the main differences between ZS an LJU, on the one hand, and BU, on the other, lie in physics and chemistry.
