THE TECHNOLOG Y OF WEAVING CONTEMPORARY TAPESTRY IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

Summary/Abstract: The art of contemporary tapestry in the Republic of Moldova presents a relatively new artistic phenomenon, a crystallized messenger of the beautiful folk traditions”, based on carpet-art and it possesses a great capacity of expressing national artistic-aesthetic values. Although, there are quite a few investigations in the study of textile arts, the importance and relevancy of studying artistic tapestry in our country was and remains very important. In the article the author analyses the symbiosis of the theoretical and practical characteristics in teaching artistic tapestry, valorising all the known technical methods, the terminological and technological aspects of weaving.
