Summary/Abstract: Advertising needs strong regulations for fair practices. Fair supposes protection for the buyers / users of products and services and equality of chances for economic competitors. Different kinds of instruments, legal and para-legal (conceived and respected by the different actors advertising mobilizes), are helpful for reaching these goals. Things become much more difficult to tame when expression and contents of advertisements and commercials are concerned. It is often very hard to differentiate between clear imitation and mere coincidence.
