Summary/Abstract: In the first part of the work the author analyses different concepts of free time, ibs functions and determinants of scope and ibs use. The second part contains the interpretation of data collected for sociological research project »Young workers in automated production« carried out at the chemical plant of Pančevo (a middle-town in Vojvodina) in 1976 on the representative sample comprising 422 workers.
