Summary/Abstract: We are involved in an era of debates regarding the core values of journalism ethics, debates provoked especially by the impact of WEB. New media have challenged the financial status of traditional media. It is now a rude competition in which ancient media are involved. That is their crisis. Audiences mentalities are changing, their use of media are changing. It is a huge effort of ancient media to find their ways of survival. The key word of this crisis is confidence of people in their old media. That is why, the ethical debate is deeper and deeper. Ethics coach proposed by Poynter Institute of Media Studies, ethics college, a vivid French debate, the ombudsman who is more and more important in Europe and in the United States, these are the main issues of these professional debates.
