Summary/Abstract: According to its role in the structure and in general in the reproduction process of the economy, the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan is basic. In accordance with the Development Strategy, the agro-industrial complex among the seven priority sectors should fully realize its sectoral advantages and large-scale potential. Kazakhstan needs to more effectively use its competitive advantages, especially in the production of environmentally friendly products.The article discusses the main problems of livestock development, the conditions for implementing projects of public and private targeted programs, the main purpose of which is to create a solid basis for the continuous development of the meat industry of livestock. The main trends in the development of cattle breeding are identified and the conditions for ensuring food security and the possibility of increasing the volume of exports of domestic meat products on both existing and new world markets are defined.
