Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the concept of rationality and limitations of rationality in the field of behavioral economics, as the basis to create behavioral methods aimed at improving the quality of decisions concerning additional pension savings. Based on an in-depth analysis of the literature, it is postulated to adapt selected behavioral solutions to the specific conditions of the retirement system in Poland.
