Summary/Abstract: Observation and participation are different aspects of the experience of space and are dependent on the distance between the person and the observed object. Up to a distance of 5—6 meters, the attention devoted to an object, person or incident depends on the adjustment of the eye. In that case, the experience is actually psycho-physical as there is participation of both body and spirit. Beyond that distance, there is no more adjustment of the eye, and the person is rather an indifferent observer, not a participant.
