Summary/Abstract: The family is the most secure supporting foundation in the situation of a loved one who is suffering and dying. Its activity results from the strength of intra-family bonds and appropriate legal regulations supporting its actions based on the principle of justice and support. Implementing these activates is based on the social capital of activities arising from the principles of the common good, social love and solidarity. An example is the Social Hospice Care Center operating within the Lublin Society of the Friends of the Sick at the Good Samaritan Hospice, which shows the practical applications of the above course of action within family assistance.
