Summary/Abstract: In the article the Author addresses the nexus between selected natural disasters and real estate prices. In particular, the paper focuses on two natural disasters – earthquakes and floods. The author reviews state-of-the-art empirical research on the impact of those two hazards on real estate prices, mostly focusing on recent studies. Within this selective review, major themes are identified, and major conclusions are drawn. In the concluding part of the paper, the theoretical framework is discussed and evaluated.
