Summary/Abstract: The undertaken analysis of the syntagmatic deconstruction is based on the structural and modal aspects. The chosen approach to thematerial opens an opportunity to describe the grammar features of the text fragments with the syntagmatic decomposition in termsof the author’s intention. Syntagmatic decomposition is turned out to be a part of the conceptual intention of the author. Moreover, the short story superphrasal structure is hierarchical. The hierarchy is based on the degree of the syntactic link means explicitnessand the size of the fragments with the syntagmatic decomposition. Thus, оn the highest level of the hierarchy are the syntagmaticallydecomposed fragments explicating the ideas that the reader has to interpret on the other levels. So, the author’s intention is to activatethe reader’s sense through the decomposed structure perception and interpretation.
