Summary/Abstract: Turkey had an inward-looking economic policy based on the post 1980 period firstly then Turkey followed an economic policy based on the outward-looking. One of the biggest market for exporting of Turkey is European Union (EU). As a result of realization of the Customs Union with the EU, industrial sectors have started to experience intense competition in the process. Priority from the beginning of an open model of growth in Turkey is textile and clothing sectors. Therefore, the external competitiveness of the sector level is important. In this study, the revealed comparative advantages approach in textile and clothing sectors examined between EU countries and Turkey.
