Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study was to empirically examine Internet of Things-enabled smart governance. Building my argument by drawing on data collected from ESI ThoughtLab, KPMG, McKinsey, and Osborne Clarke, I performed analyses and made estimates regarding potential improvement through current generation of smart city applications, from time of implementation (%), the return on investments in smart city pillars by maturity stage (%), and actions needed to improve transportation and mobility in smart cities (%). The structural equation modeling technique was used to test the research model.
