METHODOLOGICAL LANDMARKS OF TRAINING STUDENTS CERAMISTS

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the course „Artistic Ceramics” is to form the students` artistic-technological abilities and competences. In the process of artistic creation for creating ceramic art is achieved an important objective, which provides training students in self-creative, artistic and pedagogical activity on the basis of some points of view regarding the decorative, creative specifics, abilities and skills of working with ceramic materials. Specialized theoretical disciplines of the course „Artistic Ceramics” include an in-depth study of the physical properties and technological characteristics of clay, ways of its processing, modelling and decorating. Specialized practical disciplines include subjects and tasks, in which the students form skills for modelling/creating ceramic products through various technologies: manual modelling, casting in plaster forms, application of sculptural and decorative basic techniques.
