Summary/Abstract: This article discusses, on the one hand, the relationship between competences, the discipline curriculum and didactic practices, and, on the other hand, the methodological strategies, which contribute to the improvement of the teaching / learning process of the Italian language in musical institutions. It advocates a contemporary approach, based on recent studies in the field meant to highlight some aspects of the didactics of the Italian language teaching through specialized languages (microlimbus). In this context, we mention that the specificity of the Italian language teaching for musical institutions is rooted in the main goal of the A1-B2 communication competence, as required by the Common European Framework of Reference of the Council of Europe, which guarantees basic communication skills.
