Summary/Abstract: This paper aim to analyse, in comparison, issues of adolescents’ life today and yesterday. In a world of paradoxes, we started from the question: if humanity is aimed to offer more to children, to future generation, to create opportunities for their development, how is possible that adolescents are more and more unhappy, unsatisfied, depressive, addicted etc.?So, in order to answer to this question, we tried to analyse problems of adolescents in present society (alienation, depression, non-responsibility, aggressiveness, addictions and abuses, difficult relationships with families, selfishness etc.) and yesterday society, a more traditional society (equality / inequality of access to education, early assuming of responsibility of starting a new family, giving birth and raising children, focus on becoming productive members of society and less on self-development) and the role of society dynamic in their profile’s change. As a support for our study we have analysed 10 life stories of people from different generations (born between 30’s and 40’s and born after 2000).
