Summary/Abstract: Many new notions have been introduced into our educational vernacular over the last decades. Those notions should be reflected in educational change. Though many changes have occurred in the Estonian educational paradigm, the impact of the new concepts does not seem to be strong enough, so the changes are not always very effective. This may be due to the fact that the essence of the new concepts is not properly understood.
