Summary/Abstract: The article aims to present the existence of a specific medical communication based on the development of non-standard vocabulary, as well as on the manner and intentions of its expression. The main reason for creating a specific medical language is the need for a simple, fast and effective communication of hospital staff. Due to the characteristics of the occupation and the patient rotation in the hospital, the language minimizes the possibility of making mistakes as well as enables the efficient flow of information. However, these are also factors that often cause patients to feel coldness and being treated instrumentally. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the causes of the development of a specific medical language with an emphasis on the psychological and sociological aspects of the problem.
