The role of system analysis in the establishing of interlingual lexical equivalence (on the material of blue colour indications in Russian and Polish)

Summary/Abstract: The present article is devoted to analyzing the system correlativity of property concerning the basic components of the Russian and Polish lexical-semantic paradigm determining the shades of blue, namely of the Russian sinij - goluboj and the Polish błękitny - niebieski. Determined is the level of their semantic identity, established are the appropriate connotative features. The research conducted revealed all the closer relations between the Russian sinij and the Polish błękitny as more active semantically and between the Russian goluboj and the Polish niebieski as less active from the semantic point of view. The above mentioned phenomenon is reflected in the translation of literature.
