Outstanding mathematicians, Romanian Polytechnic Professors before 1948

Summary/Abstract: Economic consolidation and modernization of our country have especially been realized since 1919 by the development of industry and means of communication. The technical scholars needed to be formed in higher schools of engineering. This article starts with a short history of polytechnic schools in Bucharest, Iași, Timișoara, and then makes a presentation of the professors of Mathematics, emphasizing their scientific value, the devotion and abnegation which characterized their activity with students. The latter became civil engineers, electrical and electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, metallurgists, agronomists, architects, chemists, mining engineers, military engineers.
