Summary/Abstract: In response to the orientation towards life-long studies in the information society, one of the main goals of university education is to teach students how to study, to train them towards self-directiveness and selfawareness in their studies. Practice and theoretical research have shown that special efforts and approaches are needed for developing these skills. The present paper deals with the study of students’ awareness in language learning carried out at the Centre of Foreign Languages, Kaunas University of Technology.
