Summary/Abstract: This paper is part of the research of historical demography of the rural and urban areas from the Crişul Repede Valley, Bihor County, during the Modern Period and presents the evolution of the demographic phenomenon of the infant mortality from the above mentioned region with the use of a sample. The sample contains the analysis of the parish registers regarding the marital status from the following confessional communities: Orthodox: Lugaşu de Jos, Lugaşu de Sus; Reformed: Aleşd, Urvind and Roman-catholic: Aleşd, Tileagd. The period on which I conducted the research is 1850-1900.
