Summary/Abstract: In the following article, the author discusses the extent to which the phenomenon of ‘Entgrenzung’ occurs in the novella Death in Venice. To do so, he carefully interprets Aschenbach’s attempts to establish a closer relationship with Tadzio, which fail every time.
