Summary/Abstract: Topolski explores the kind of “places” in ancient literature that would be close to Derrida’s interpretation of khora. Examples from Homer’s Odyssey and Greek drama offer possibilities for such readings from the irrational (dreaming) character of khora through gender distinctions related to experiencing a space, to the oxymoronic suicide of women in Greek theatre.
