Summary/Abstract: The present paper is part of a larger study, presenting the valences of the library as space in the creation of Andrei Codrescu. Casanova in Bohemia is a novel centred on the architectonic space of the library. We approach the literary text with the intention of highlighting the interpretation corridors for the space of the library, discussing the following possibilities: the library as prison/exile, the library as memory, the library as space of education and evolution, the library as democratic space, and the library as creation space.
