Summary/Abstract: The article describes what kind of visual elements can be found in present-day theatre, classifies them, and analyses visuality in theatre art. The author makes a semiotic scheme of possible visual components in the theatre at the turn of the 20th and 21st century. The article states how important visuality is in postmodern theatre art, and which tendencies it faces in Lithuania, how visual components correlate with words, sounds and music, and how these components are created.
