Summary/Abstract: Gitenis Umbrasas was born on 25 August, 1961 in Vilnius. He studied at art schools for beginners and later, in 1983-1988, he studied fresco-mosaic at the Institute of Art. From 1989 till 1995 he taught drawing and anatomy at Vilnius Academy of Art. Since 1995 he has worked on the realisation of various art projects, organised personal exhibitions and taken part in collective ones.
