Summary/Abstract: The presence of drug-related crime is becoming more and more common in the local environment. Its range, diversity and consequences make them a serious threat. The scale of the presented social pathology is very wide. The association of crime and psychoactive substances is becoming an increasing threat to society not only from the side of drug addiction but also from the phenomenon of breaking legal and social norms. The article is devoted to the problem of drug addiction in Poland, mainly presenting the criminogenic nature of drug addiction (drug-related crime). He raises the problem of organized crime, or drug business, as well as shows the scale and dynamics of the phenomenon described.
